Holt Festival 2018

Holt Festival is an annual arts festival, which comprises a range of events, from food and theatre to music, fine art and more. This year's festival will run from July 21st to July 29th - take a look at a sample of some of the events below.

  • Elégie, Rachmaninoff - A Heart in Exile - A ‘Composer Portrait’ scripted by pianist Lucy Parham, chronicling the life of Sergei Rachmaninoff, narrated and read by actor Alex Jennings.

  • Anna Mudeka - Music of Our Ancestors - Zimbabwean Anna Mudeka’s singing and Mbira (thumb piano) performance offers complete immersion into the musical evolution of her homeland.

  • Colin Cloud - Referred to as the Sherlock Holmes of entertainment, and the star of the Royal Variety Performance 2017, the acclaimed stage mentalist brings us his new PSYCHO(Logical) show.

  • Stand-Up Comedy - Top drawer comedy with Francis Foster, recently supporting Eddie Izzard on tour, Paul F Taylor, award-winner from the Edinburgh Fringe, Helen Bauer, featured in BBC Three’s Things Not to Say and Phil Nichol, another Edinburgh Award Winner with his Your Wrong show.
